Hello my friends in Namur,

My name is Bertha Bernard. I was the assistant to the mayor of Lafayette when the twinning of our two cities began in 1979. I have had the chance to visit your beautiful city of Namur several times, accompanied by many groups of citizens from Lafayette.

Several of my closest friends are from Namur: Francis Laloux and his son Frédéric, Armand Burnonville, François Crets, and many others. I have also had the pleasure of welcoming several delegations from Namur to Lafayette, for example the famous stilt walkers, Les Echasseurs de Namur, who were a great success at the Louisiana International Festival.
